2 day Exhibition on Indira Gandhi ‘The iron lady’

Indira Gandhi  was the first women prime minister, known as ‘The iron lady’ of the country. Daughter of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Born on November 19, 1917 in Allahabad city of Uttar Pradesh.

 On her 25th death anniversary, a two-day exhibition has been arranged in the national capital.

This exhibition was organized by Delhi Govt, showed Indira Gandhi’s photographs.

It offers a quick look of Indira’s college days, her marriage, her family and various other aspects of her personal life as well as Political life. It’s a pictorial visit of Indira’s life. The Pictures are about her school, writing, taking oath as the Prime Minister, working at her office, Public meetings and many more. Many students come from across the city to see this exhibition.

Shiela Dikshit, Delhi’s Chief Minister said:

It has been 25 years since Indira Ji went for her heavenly abode. This exhibition has been put to re-live her fond memories by the way of photographs. A film is being shown too. This exhibition aims at reliving and reminiscing Indira Ji’s memories. She has left an everlasting impression on the people which will stay forever. Her name is recorded in golden letters in the history of India. It is an effort to showcase the major highlights of her life and send it across to the public. So that the people remember her and take inspiration from her life,
